Privacy Policy
This is a courtesy translation. The German version is the legally binding one.
1. Overview
This privacy policy explains which personal data is collected when you use this website, what we use it for, and what rights you have in connection with it. Personal data is any information that can be used to identify you personally.
This website runs as a static site with no database of its own. Most data processing happens because you take an action yourself – for example by filling in the contact form, writing to us by email, phone or WhatsApp, or booking an appointment through the linked booking service Canity. In addition, subject to your consent, we use analytics and advertising services provided by Google.
2. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:
Stefanie Pietzsch
Peach Hundetraining
Seestraße 59/1
69214 Eppelheim, Germany
Phone: +49 163 4215412
Email: steffi@peach-hundetraining.de
The controller is the natural or legal person who, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of processing personal data (e.g. names, email addresses, etc.).
3. Your rights
Under applicable law, you have the right at any time to free information about the personal data we hold about you, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of processing (Art. 15 GDPR), as well as, where applicable, a right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) or restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR). You also have a right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) and a right to object to processing carried out for reasons arising from your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).
Where you have given consent to processing, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future. The lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal remains unaffected.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of your habitual residence, place of work, or of the alleged infringement.
Unless a more specific retention period is stated in this policy, your data remains with us until the purpose of processing no longer applies or you request erasure or withdraw your consent; statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.
You can contact us at any time with any questions about your personal data.
4. Hosting
This website is hosted externally by:
Cloudflare, Inc.
101 Townsend Street
San Francisco, CA 94107
USA
Personal data collected on this website is stored on our hosting provider's servers. This may in particular include IP addresses, contact enquiries, meta and communication data, and other data generated through use of this website.
External hosting is carried out for the purpose of a secure, fast and efficient provision of our online offering by a professional provider (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Our host processes your data only to the extent necessary to fulfil its contractual obligations and strictly on our instructions. Data transfers to the US are based on the EU Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses; Cloudflare is also certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF), verifiable at https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/list.
5. Cookies and consent
This website does not use classic cookies to store your cookie choice. Instead, your choice on the consent banner is stored purely technically in your browser's local storage, under the key peach-consent – this is not a cookie, but a storage mechanism managed by your browser itself and tied exclusively to this website.
Until you give your consent, the Google services described below run in the so-called Consent Mode basic state: no cookies are set and no identifiers are transmitted, and Google only receives anonymous signals that cannot be linked to you personally. Only after you consent via the banner do the services become fully active.
You can withdraw your decision at any time by clearing this website's data in your browser – you will be asked again on your next visit. Where any of the services described below set cookies of their own, this is done on the basis of your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG (the German cookie-consent statute).
6. Getting in touch
Contact form
When you send us an enquiry via the contact form, we store the details you enter, including the contact information you provide, in order to process your enquiry and handle any follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.
The form is technically processed through the service Web3Forms. The information you enter (name, email address, address, optionally your phone number, details about your dog, and your message) is transmitted to Web3Forms and delivered to us from there by email. It is not passed on for any other purpose.
Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to entering into a contract, and otherwise on our legitimate interest in efficiently handling enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Your details remain with us until you request erasure, the purpose of storage no longer applies, or statutory retention obligations require otherwise.
Email and phone
If you contact us by email or phone, we store your enquiry, including any personal data arising from it (name, enquiry), for the purpose of handling your request. Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR; your data remains with us until the purpose of storage no longer applies or you request erasure.
Communication via WhatsApp
Between appointments, you can also reach us via the instant messaging service WhatsApp if needed. The provider is WhatsApp Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland.
Communication is end-to-end encrypted, so third parties cannot read the content. However, WhatsApp has access to metadata generated during the communication (e.g. sender, recipient, time) and states that it shares personal data with its US-based parent company, Meta. For details, see WhatsApp's privacy policy: https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/#privacy-policy.
Use of WhatsApp is based on our legitimate interest in fast, straightforward communication (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Data transfers to the US are based on the EU Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses; WhatsApp is also certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF): https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/participant/7735.
7. Online appointment booking via Canity
For booking appointments (e.g. the free introductory call), several pages on this site link to the external booking service Canity, which you can open in a new tab via a dedicated button. The provider is Canity (canity.de).
The booking process itself takes place entirely on Canity's own servers – we do not embed Canity as a form on our website. The data you provide when booking (e.g. name, contact details, requested appointment) is sent directly to Canity; no personal data passes through our website itself. Canity is independently responsible for data processing on its own platform; you can find Canity's privacy policy on its website.
The link to Canity serves to initiate and carry out the training contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
8. Analytics and advertising
Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads
Subject to your consent, this website uses Google Analytics 4 for web analytics as well as Google Ads including conversion tracking, services provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). Google Analytics evaluates how the website is used (e.g. pages viewed, time spent, referral channel); Google Ads enables us to display advertisements and, via conversion tracking, measure whether an ad led to the contact form being submitted or our phone number being clicked. We only receive aggregated figures and cannot identify you as a person.
Your IP address is processed by Google in truncated form; we have limited the retention period for user and event data in Google Analytics to 14 months. We do not merge analytics data with your Google account.
Use of these services is based exclusively on your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TDDDG (see section 5) and can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future. Data transfers to the US are based on the EU Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses; further information is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://business.safety.google/controllerterms/. Google is also certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF): https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/participant/5780.
Google Tag Manager
We use Google Tag Manager, another service provided by Google. Tag Manager is not itself an analytics tool and does not set any cookies of its own: it is purely the technical tool used to embed and activate the services named above, in line with your consent. It is used on the basis of our legitimate interest in the uniform, data-efficient management of these services (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
9. Google reviews
On our client testimonials page, we embed a reviews widget that displays our Google reviews and lets you submit your own review directly through the widget. The widget is technically provided by an external agency (stark.digital, operating it on our behalf) and loads a script from that provider's servers when the page is opened.
Simply displaying the reviews is based on our legitimate interest in a transparent public presentation through client testimonials (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). If you choose to submit a review through the widget yourself, we and/or the widget provider process the data you voluntarily enter (e.g. name, review text, possibly a profile picture) on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). As this is an externally embedded script, it may technically set cookies or similar identifiers, over whose exact workings we do not have full control.
10. Video consultations via Microsoft Teams
For online appointments (e.g. the initial consultation or online advice sessions), we use Microsoft Teams. The provider is Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland.
When you take part in a video call, Microsoft processes in particular your email address, metadata about the call (time, duration, number of participants), and technical connection data (e.g. IP address, device and operating system information). For details, see Microsoft Teams' privacy statement: https://privacy.microsoft.com/en-us/privacystatement.
Use of the service is necessary to provide the service you booked (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We have a data processing agreement (DPA) in place with Microsoft. Microsoft is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF): https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/participant/6474.
11. SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser's address bar changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock icon in your browser's address bar. When encryption is active, data you submit to us cannot be read by third parties.
12. Objection to promotional emails
We hereby object to the use of contact details published as part of our legal notice obligation (Impressum) for sending unsolicited advertising and informational material. We expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited promotional material being sent to us, such as spam emails.
